Restore failed on 3GS error (1604)

Hi guys
Please help me if you have solution for this thing, My problem is -
1) I jailbreaked my iphone 3gs with purplera1n, then it's working and i continue using that one.
2) When i connect to itunes, it asked for SMS vulnaralibility update install then i try to download the file (size around over 200 MB) then Itunes try to update my phone.
3) After that, Itunes said can't update , when i looked into my phone my phone is ended up in Rescue Mode
** So how can i continue ?

I tried to restore it from Itunes, but it said Error (1604)

Hi Guys (So happy status now)
- I solved the problem just re-run the purplerain1 and jailbrake again my iphone which is (stuck in rescue mode)
- now everything back to normal (all my apps and data are back in normal)
I think that the problem occured when i tried to updates from apple and apple firmware and jailbrake firmware crashed and OS can't load properly, Please discuss for this topic . Thanks! very happy mode!

Hi friends,here is my problem.My brother brought a iphone from uk were he was using o2 as carrier.He came back to india.Itried to use my vodafone sim.But it dint detect.Then i used red snow to jailbreak it and install cydia after that i used ultra snow to unlock it. After that, when i switch on my iphone , only the apple logo appears  and it turns off automatically.i tried to restore my iphone, but  i get an error 1604 and am not able to do any thing with my mobile it is in recovery mode now.i am using iphone 3g s .Please help .Thanks in advance

Hey guysPlease help... I had a 3g iphone whih i bough on ebay and was unlocked to all networks, and recently downloaded the 3gs update. However now the phone is locked, it displays a message saying insert a pin free sim. I no longer have the original sim which came with it when I bought it and I was wondering what are my options to fix this? I'm lost without my phone!
