3G users have to spend $399 to $499 to upgrade to the 3GS right now. If you're eligible to upgrade in July, August or September, AT&T's letting you do so at the full subsidized $199/$299 price. Poor Taste?

So I guess that's a good deal, right? It looks like a savings of either $200 or $300 dollars, but is the upgrade dependent on when your contract is up?
