How to best protect the iphone?

I can't stand the idea of getting things like scratches on the screen or on the device itself for that matter, the idea of damaging something so expensive is also pretty scary. Does anyone therefore have any input on how best to protect the iphone? I know things like screen protectors are highly reccomended, but is there anything else worth getting(specific brands etc.)? Poor Taste?

I haven't heard of anything else myself, but protecting an expensive item like an iPhone makes perfect sense to me. It would be horrible to break or damage something like that.

I am looking to buy something for that too. I usually use a cover for all my cell phones. It keeps the phone in great condition. I am checking it out, I can post what I find.

The best way is to get all sorts of protective stuffs like cases and scren protectors available in the market for iPhones. And the most important thing is always being cautious when you handle your iPhones.

First thing you need to do is to Cover the display with a Scratch Gaurd (Screen Protector)to avoid getting unwanted Scratches on the display Screen. Buy a good Pouch to carry the phone wherever you go.It 'll be good if that pouch is made of a soft material. Handle it with care whenever you place you phone on any surface twice check for presence of any liquid materials like water etc. Switch off you Bluetooth if it is not in use that might cause some virus problem. Don't install any unnecessary programs in your iPhone that may eat process :)

Just don't sit on it or spill and you're fine. The screen protector's all you need.

I might have went a little over board but this is what i got for my phone 1. Invisble Shield full body cover, it's a clear plastic and is aplied to the front screen and the back and sides of the phone (1 major piece for the front, 1 major piece for the back and 4 smaller pieces for the chrome on the sides) There are youtube videos of people trying to put it on, it looks time consuming. I went to my local mall and they have Invisible Shield kiosks where they apply them for you for $40 (product and installation) 2. I also bought a Incase protective cover, it's a type of rubber case. I wasn't comfortable with just leaving the phone with just the IS protector, if i droped it the phone would break, so this gives it cusion and me, piece of mind.
