What is the maximum number of apps that can be installed on a iPhone3GS? If you install a lot, does it slow down the phone the way it might with a computer?
The old phone had something like 130 with 9 pages of apps. I read this whole long discussion about it once. I'm sure the new phone probably gets more. Are you planning on filling it up?
If I am correct you can have 16 apps per page in iPhone 3gs out of 9 pages which means you can have a maximum of 144 apps. And I don't know what is the need to have more than 100 apps in an iPhone 3gs.
Now, I got a 2g IpHone from america prior to the offical Apps store being set up - There was an installer which had access to a number of applications that had been built. One was called Categories and allowed you to open up an additonal screen where you would store your applications by category. So for example, I had Online apps stord in one place and all my games in another, this would allow you to free up the 9 pages and potentially allow for more application to be downlioaded on the now larger 32gb 3gs's...any body know about such application? And can we get it on the 3gs now?
wow I can't believe that this is really a discussion! Who is planning to use more than 144 apps????! Although I guess really if you accumulate them they add up quickly. But who can afford that??!
I don't think having a large number of apps installed in itself slows down the iphone. However if you've had it running for a while without turning it fully off, it can start to get a little sluggish.
