Have to agree with you on this. However there are certain functions which can't be similar to both of them. Further they know better than us whether they are shooting themselves or not.
I can't figure this out too, we'll I guess is that iPhone's are really for communication and iPods are more on videos and music though you can get it also with your phone. I think that's the difference if you want it all get the iPhone and if you want the latter get the iPod.
Good point. I know a complaint about Ipods was the battery life, maybe the majority of batteries are ready to give out? Seriously though I think here are many people that will buy both just because they can
No, they are two different products. Not everyone wants the more expensive iPhone. They may be happy with their current cell phone. iPods key into a different market.
The iPhone is a different market entirely, it's like the music phones, it's not anything like as good at music as teh good old iPods, and people who value that will have iPods.. and the capacity of the iPhone is limited, anyone with more than 40g of music will need a proper iPod anyway.
I wonder if such a big company hasn't thought of this before. Maybe people who do not find the iPhone appealing would still purchase the iPod and maybe that is a sizable chunk of the market. Remember that the iPhone has no java? So no games and many people don't like that.
I believe everything has its own purpose and is specific. If a phone can have all the features of an mp3 player, then why people still preffered them? Products cannot be generic. I would still like to have an iPod even then i have an iPhone.
