With the release of this new iPhone, has Apple positioned itself to be the leader and the standard the rest of the mobile phone industry will have to follow?
The trend certainly seems to be like that. From my view Apple had increased its share than the previous count after the release of this new iPhone. And I guess they are increasing their shares in the mobile market on a constant rate.
I guess apple has done that already and they are the front runners, When they release a new version other companies tries to come up with a new version and they I guess they are the standard bearers of the mobile industry.
Well they certainly heightened the bar thats for sure, it will be tougher for other cell phone companies for sure. People love features and stuff like that for their gadgets
I'm not sure. There's always something new out there, a new way of doing it or a new innovation to attract buyers. Competitors are still releasing their new gizmos. I don't think there is a corner on the market as yet.
I think its an ongoing competition, and I don't think that Apple will have done enough to be front and centre with only one cell phone to offer the market. Not everyone wants this iPhone, and since there aren't any more "basic" options, Apple eliminates a huge chunk of cell phone users.
