Hi friends do you know one thing iPhone 3G S buyers are still experiencing delays activating their new smartphones, but Apple apparently wants to make it up to them. As a way of apology for the delays, Apple has sent emails to the affecting customers and the same e-mail said Apple plans to offer customers a $30 credit iTunes Store credit for "the inconvenience this delay has caused."I think it will give happiness to those customers. Poor Taste?

Hmmm... the offer looks really good for those who already have an itunes account. For those who do not have an account yet, this is one way of enticing them. To get an itunes account you have to supply your credit card details to register. I'm not very comfortable with that and that is why I still don't have an account. I think it is good marketing strategy

That is a smart way of handling frustrated customers. Apple might increase the exposures to its iTunes store and at the same time satisfies and cools its disappointed customers.

Good thing I got mine then, I normally forget about downloading music, but this? Guess I'll see if they have any Bon Jovi on iTunes today, since I got that message in as well.

Did anyone ever verifiy if Apple really did this or not? As a consumer, I'm just very curious if they actually did follow through, or if this was just a rumor.

Is this just another email or real news? Why are buyers finding it difficult to activate their smartphones? There is something I don't understand over here.
