I think that it's unfair that the free upgrade to the 3.0 software got lost in all these hoopla about the iphone 3G S. Poor Taste?

Hmmmn... you guys seem to neglect the fact that most of the iPhone 3G S improvements we see are not because of the phone's hardware but because of the 3.0 firmware.

Well, that's true. But some of the features like the video capture and the compass are dependent on the 3G S hardware.

Where does one get this free software upgrade? I for one did not even know that such a thing existed. I have only heard of the 3G S and didn't have any idea that there was an upgrade to the 3G. Hmmmm....
