hi to all of you people posting.... well im t-mobile user... im excited 'bout the iphone 3gs and im saving up to buy the 3gs 32gb but idk if it will be able to be used with t-mobile if anybody knows what i can do to unlock it please post it here or send me a message at ugly_sexy_da1@yahoo.com also what ways are there for getting out of the data plan..... can have my girlfriend buy it for me when contract is re-newed then have her say that she prefers other phone which gets rid of iphone on her contract then unlock it and use it with t-mobile, without having at&t find out that im using Iphone? Poor Taste?

I heard last week that they have a strict lock on these and they aren't able to be decoded. Even if you could unlock it, I'm thinking all the apps and browser and such isn't going to work :( Good Luck, let us know what you find out.

It's only my business because you posted this, but it all sounds a bit shady and illegal to me. A contract is a contract, and you know going into it what is to be expected. And, uh, why aren't you buying your phone?

Hi Oscarely1: You could probably just get an unlocked 3G S. If you're on T-mob, why not get the G1! :)

Boy that seems like an awful lot to go thru, why don't you just give your old phone to someone as a gift and just downgrade the plan and get your GF to buy you the new one?

well slumdog iv chekced out the g1 and i personally do NOT like it.. iv bin wanting a ophoen for quite awhile simply because i like how the txt conversations appear on it nd al the types of apps that there are and also the games that have bin created

hey mocking bird. well thats what im going to do try to get the phone from her plan and unlock it and use for t-mo.. my question is simply if the 3g-S is unlockable

see orrymain, thre are many people who get the contracts and aren't pleased with the types of the phones that that carrier has iv seen alot of phones from t-mo my only choice that i liked alot was my last phone , the blackberry curve, but im interested to having an iphone, there are many people who do this and to my knowledge i dont think this is illegal, hopefully not

hi CamoGirl well i havent heard anything bout the strictlock on them... if you saw such thing online please post link so that ian chek it out my self. i would find it hard to believe that al the apps would not be working if i unlocked it.. but i will post back wen i get my 3g-S and test it al out, thanks for the post
