I have an unlocked G1 and I do like it's expandable memory.  I do wish that Apple's iPhone 3G S had expandable memory

Give them time.  Maybe that's part of the next great iPhone.  Technology won't sit still; it never does.  I'll bet it happens sooner or later.

I have serious doubts you'd be able to use all of its 32GB memory... if you're getting that version.  the 16GB is good enough.

Take note that the 3G S will be able to take videos whose quality is good enough for the Web. So that 32GB will be a cinch to fill

I think that the internal memory would prove to be Apple's main differentiator among its three existing models.  8GB, 16GB and 32GB

I think that not providing a way to expand the memory is a great marketing strategy (albeit sneaky!).  This way, when they come out with the new great features (that take up a ton of room) you have to get the new phone instead of just a bigger card.
