It seems that the 3G S will be available in Japan by June.  Softbank Mobile has said that they will be releasing the phone in the country on June 26.

I'm a little surprised by that.  I just would have thought that Japan would be right with this.  I think of them as being ahead of the game with this tech stuff.

I heard that Softbank plans to price the 3G S at $118, WAY cheaper than AT&T is selling it for here.

I envy the Japanese.  They also have a much cheaper unlimited data cost at JPY4410.  It used to be JPY5985

Well, am not surprised.  Softbank has been practically giving away the iPhone 3G for free for months!!!

Well, that is fine for me. My contract ends with the month June and I can change to Softbank Mobiles and get that 3G S.
