The iPhone when originally marketed was supposed to have video, upload to YouTube capability, and remote wipe features. I wondered what happened to those features when I purchased my first iphone. Glad they have finally lived up to the hype. The pricing Sucks though, because to my understanding, the iphone, and iphone 3g were not sold at discounted prices along with a contract from att. It is odd now that we are told that we can not upgrade the phone without paying extra... Poor Taste?

There's a catch to everything, isn't there? Sometimes I think companies just bite off more than they can chew; they have to backtrack, and that never goes over well publicly.

@orrymain: hmmmn i don't know about you but here in the US making false claims like that could land you in trouble. No, I don't think Apple purposely made those claims and not follow up on it. The backlash would have been too strong and the fines too punitive. It would have hurt the original iPhone's sales 2 years ago, and it would not be the popular phone it is now.

I had never heard of the previous iPhone having remote wipe features. I did know that they were advertising up load to You Tube though; I really wasn't aware that it didn't do that, as I don't use You Tube much.
