iphone 3G S release in Canada

when is the iPhone 3G S being released in Canada?  Last time it was released we had rediculous voice/data plans comparable to those in other countries because of the lack of competition factor in the wireless market here in Canada.  Please provide details on 3G S iPhone release in Canada.  Thanks

No details on the release in Canada yet.  I don't think that Apple has a specified carrier in Canada, but you can call up Rogers or Fido Store to get some information on pricing.  These are the only outlets listed on the AT&T site.

I tried to find out when this phone would be released in Canada, and my carrier (Telus) had no idea.  They also told me that if I managed to get my hands on it elsewhere, that it is not compatible with Canadian plans.  Awesome.

Sometimes when a product is international, it's just not on an even basis.  It's like with DVDs.  Why does Britain get extras for an American TV show that we Americans don't get?  It doesn't seem fair at all, and yet it happens all the time.
