I recently bought a 3gs that i had to have unlocked (it was orange, im o2). The software is currently on 3.1.2 and the guy that unlocked it said that if i i upgraded the software to the new 5 version it would lock again and he wouldnt be able to unlock it again, because of this there are loads of apps that i cannot get as they require at least 4.0.
Is there any way i can just upgrade to 4.0 or would it automatically go to 5??
Any help would be appreciated as i cant really use the phone to its full potential at the moment.
