Hi there everyone,
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, however, I will share my problems. I do like to apologize if I'm reposting something, however, I don't think anyone would have had this problem.
I recently jailbroke my iPhone 3GS (32gb) with spirit, and it
works great =) I didn't restore my iPhone before I jailbroke it, since I saw videos on YouTube saying that you don't have to, its optional.
However, I later noticed that the 'cydia' icon was not
working...whenever I clicked on it, it opens up black and then goes back
to my home screen.
So, I hooked up my iPhone again, and jailbroke it again (without
restoring it). It jailbroke successfully. However, whenever I turn on wifi/3G and click on cydia, it slowed down my iPhone...even when I returned to my home screen. I think cydia might not have been installed properly or something. All cydia says that it is retrieving something...but it takes too long. When I get out of cydia, turn off my wifi/3G, leave my iPhone for a while, everything is OKAY again and it isn't slow anymore. Note that when cydia is on (while retrieving something), I cannot do anything...unless ofcourse, I click the home button.
I have synced everything to my iTunes, and the jailbroken apps have
been also synced (because you have to).
As far as I know, if I restore my iPhone normally, jailbroken apps do not work, until I jailbreak my iPhone.
Questions:
1. What can I do to fix this cydia issue?
2. If I restore my iPhone, obviously everything will be removed.
However, If I sync my iPhone after I restore it, will my jailbroken apps work...? Or,
will I have to normally restore my iPhone, and THEN jailbreak it, and THEN sync it again, in order to make the jailbroke apps work again...
I would highly appreciate any responses. This is a really serious problem as one of my friend has the same issue.
Thanks a lot =)
