3GS Update to 3.1.2 Caused No Service

I have a 32 gig iPhone 3GS, jailbroken. I wanted to update to 3.1.2, so last night I simply downloaded a custom IPSW from the Internet, and Option + Restored to it. Great news: I kept my jailbreak, now am on 3.1.2, and still on baseband 04.26.08. HOWEVER: I do not have any service. I did not unlock my iPhone, only jailbroke it. Any help? Poor Taste?

You have to make sure that you let the phone register to the cellular network before you jailbreak the phone otherwise it won't be able to join the network after you jailbreak. My brother learned the hard way :)
